Whoopi began to be seen everywhere in late 1990 and early in 1991 with the screen's latest James Bond, British actor Timothy Dalton.
Apparently, as green-eyed, cleft chinned Dalton told pals, he had been long intrigued by Whoopi and was delighted when mutual friends introduced them in LA. After that, the unlikely couple became an item on the Hollywood scene. However that always insisted - modestly and blushing - that they were just good pals. They stuck to this story even when they arrived as a couple at the Match 1991 Oscars or thereafter appeared together on Arsenio Hall's late night TV Talk Show. Arsenio tried his smiling best break down their reticence about the true scope of their relationship. What the odd couple refused to confirm in words to Hall was fairly evident to viewers by their flirtatious, blushing interaction with one another on-camera.
