Simon became smitten with Sophie after seeing her on the TV flop and begged a mutual friend to set them up on a date when she got back to Blighty.
My spy tells me: "Simon says it was love at first sight for him and that was before they even met. They`ve been out on a few dates and get on like a house on fire. He`s feeling on top of the world and it`s mutual. They just can`t get enough of each other and although it`s early days, things look promising."

They were all over each other when they partied last week with Christina Aguilera and her hubby, Jordan Bratman, at celebrity jeweller Stephen Webster`s party at Soho`s Hertford House. My spies also spotted the lovebirds all over each other at London`s Grosvenor Hotel.
Last year, Jordan - worth pounds 40million - was labeled "slimy" after sending Myleene Klass a bouquet with a note asking her out - even though she was engaged to bodyguard Graham Quinn. Eek!
