They get you, there’s no doubt about it: few in this world can resist the allure of a Ukrainian girl, and that includes Fred Durst, frontman with US rock rappers Limp Bizket. We wondered why the band made a return visit this year, so soon after their last concert in Kyiv, and now we know. Fred was wanting to meet the parents of his beloved Ksenia Beryazina, whom he met while here last year.
Ksenia’s parents live in Crimea, but their future celebrity son-in-law paid for them to travel to Kyiv and reside in a luxury suite in the InterContinental Hotel.
So how did this first meeting go? Ksenia’s mother told Ukrainian TV she was happy with her daughter’s choice, despite the tattoos and the fact that he said he drank 35 cans of beer on his last visit.
Talking of tattoos, Fred so much wanted to demonstrate his love for his Ukrainian girl, he’s had her name tattoed on his arm. One, two, three, aw! So let’s hope it lasts, and Fred is not falling foul of the common breed of girl technically known as the monus graberus.
