Max was dumped by 6ft tall singer Mica two years ago after she told friends she felt smothered by his jealousy. But the pair have apparently been talking about giving their relationship another chance, a pal has revealed. Mica's friend said: "Basically Max wants to have his cake and eat it too. He likes both Caroline and Mica. "But the problem is Caroline has suffered enough grief in her personal life already. And Mica feels very foolish about it all. For two years she's been getting on without him and it took a lot for her to consider giving their relationship another chance." Mica, who has a seven-year-old daughter Moet from a failed marriage, told her pal: "I can't help myself. "It's as if I can't live with Max but I can't live without him either. We're just drawn to each other. "I dated other guys while we were apart but I was still thinking about Max. "I'd tell myself, it's not going to work. Don't get all nostalgic. Then we met up for a drink and we knew our feelings were too powerful to ignore. "But our relationship was still at that very delicate stage when I heard about Max and Caroline. "At first I was so shocked I couldn't speak. It just seemed so unlike him because he was all for us getting back together. "He said he still loved me and I believed him. I'm still waiting for an explanation. And I'm still very upset at the moment. But I can't stop seeing him even though he's dating both of us." The couple's two-year relationship was torn apart by Max's jealousy, which Mica loathed. Mica, who stunned guests at Thursday night's MOBO awards by wearing a cheeky see-through dress that left very little to the imagination, is one of the most striking women in pop. "Everyone from Robert de Niro to Wesley Snipes has tried to get a date with her," said the friend. "Max hated the thought of rich and famous men lusting after his girlfriend." His possessiveness ate away at their relationship and exasperated Mica finally called it quits in late 1996. They remained in contact through friends but only admitted they still felt something for each other last month.
